If you would like to know your basic health status without having to see the doctor. In order to get accurate results, it is recommended that you fast 8-12 hours prior to taking this series of tests.

This Test is Recommended When:

You are too busy and do not have the time and/or desire to see the doctor for your annual physical exam, but you would still like to know your basic health status. You have unexplained health conditions that you would like evaluated.

Test Details:

The Annual Physical Exam Labs for Men is a fast and convenient way to get all of the same tests that your doctor would order for a fraction of the cost and without the long waits and return vists to get your results. You will recieve your results in an easy to understand format. It is then up to you if you feel that you need or want a further examination by your doctor. We will even fax your results to your doctor if you choose.

The lab tests included in the Annual PE Exam Labs Panel are as follows:

*Urinalysis/Specific Gravity - To screen for metabolic and kidney disorders and for urinary tract infections

*Complete Blood Count - To determine general health status and screen for a variety of disorders

*Comprehensive Metabolic Profile - A group of 14 specific tests used to determine general health

*Total Fasting Lipid Profile - Total cholesterol/HDL/LDL/Triglycerides

*PSA - Prostate Specific Antigen - A screening test for prostate cancer in symptomatic and asymptomatic men.

How is the sample collected for testing?

A blood sample is obtained by injecting a needle into a vein in the arm.
